The Big Bang Theory’s Theory

The Big Bang Theory’s TheoryRemember that group of boys/girls who were always reading, studying and handing in a sick note for their gym class when you were at school? Who would have thought that one of those boys/girls would be running a multinational company or even be your boss today?

The Big Bang Theory tells the story of four boys who once belonged to that group. Four really brilliant “nerds”, whose experience with women, fun and physical activity can be summed up in a night at home playing Zelda on the Wii.The Big Bang Theory’s Theory

These four wouldn’t be anything, if not for the presence of their extremely beautiful and carefree neighbour, “Penny, Penny, Penny”.

4 seasons have made this Tv show one of the most watched shows today, making each and every episode a priceless particle from a collision in the LHC.

Two and a Half Men, & Charlie Sheen

For those sitcom fans that loved to see the bizarre realtion between two brothers and a kid well as you may have noticed lately a major change has struck the sitcom. Two and a half men, once a TV show starred by the wayward Charlie Sheen (plays Charlie Harper, a jingle writer) and his good friend Jon Cryer (plays Allan Harper, a divorced man with 1 child and a chiropractor) and Angus T Jones (plays Jake Harper, son to Allan and nephew to Charlie) is considered on of the best TV shows of the past decade. Aired for the first time in 2003, TAHM has gone on to average from 15 million viewers during the first season to 21.2 million viewers in its current ninth season, making the sitcom the second most viewed in the USA.
Two and a Half MenPart of the success of the ninth season is due to a major change that took place almost at the end of the eighth season in which Charlie Sheen got into a pretty nasty ego fight with creator and producer of the sitcom Chuck Lorre. Sheen was eventually fired after having stopped the series to take a month’s break for rehab.

Many rumours spread around the social media regarding the replacement of Sheen. On September 19th all those rumours were put to rest. Ashton Kutcher was the superstar chosen to fill Sheen’s vacancy. Up to today the ratings have still been better than when Sheen was around, but we miss the free-wheeling lifestyle we all knew Charlie led on and off the set.

Here’s the first scene with Ashton Kutcher replacing Charlie Sheen.

Google TV to launch in 2012 in Europe

Google Inc. has embarked in the mega-project of uniting web and TV in order to make video content on the web available to every household on their own TV. Google TV will give you a chance to arrange and organize all the content you’re interested in. Your favourite channels, your favourite shows, your favourite documentaries and you’re favourite videos all on your TV.

Google TVThe fact is that, having been launched in the USA earlier this year, Google TV hasn’t been accepted the way it was supposed to. Current TV channels aren’t too prone to collaborating with Google since Google TV can potentially be a threat to the survival of traditional TV stations.
Most new TV sets will incorporate Google TV and Google will make a small decoder available for older TVs in order to make Google TV available to everyone.

Europe is still waiting for Google TV and Great Britain will the first one to get a go at it at the beginning of 2012. The rest of Europe will have to wait for a couple of months longer.

Here’s what it is like.

Critics have praised the work of Mr Martin on print and in the small screen.
If you yet haven’t read the books, go ahead and do it now, they’re unmissable.

Terra Nova

They say that if you mix Steven Spielberg and Dinosaurs in the same project, it turns into a huge success. So if we take this simple operation and apply it to a TV show then we have a blockbuster-prime-time TV show which is a guaranteed success.

Terra Nova

Terra Nova has been one of the most awaited TV shows of 2011. The plot: a family from the year 2149, a time when all life on planet Earth is threatened with extinction due to dwindling worldwide air quality and overpopulation. It has become virtually impossible for humanity to survive, and almost no vegetation exists. At Hope Plaza, a massive ring shaped structure in Chicago, scientists discover a rift in space-time that allows people to travel 85 million years back in time to the late Cretaceous period of a prehistoric Earth, but in an alternative timeline (thus avoiding paradoxes caused by reverse-flow time travel), offering a chance to save humanity.
Broadcasting the series here in Spain has proved to be a highly complicated. Fox will be airing it first to all Digital platform viewers, but there’s no definite station that will air it for those without Digital+, Imagenio or ONO.
We’ll have to wait and see, but what is undeniable is that the show will be a delight to all those science-fiction lovers. (more info)
